Our Beloved State of Tennessee received a magnificent VICTORY on March 4, 2025
when another attempt to legalize Assisted Suicide,
cloaked as “Right to Die” HB 0598
was defeated in the Population Health Subcommittee
of the Tennessee House of Representatives.

- 2 Representatives voting AYE: Brooks, Clemmons
- 8 Representatives voting NO: Carringer, Gillespie, Helton-Haynes, Kumar, Rudder, Sherrell, Terry & Travis
Heartfelt thanks to the overwhelming response of so many dedicated Tennessee volunteers and advocates who wrote letters, called, showed up for the meeting and PRAYED. In addition, Friends of LIFE across the country reached out who support the Choice to LIVE!
Representative Bob Freeman brought his assisted suicide bill to Tennessee for the second time.
While Physician’s Day on the Hill contributed to standing room only with a sea of white lab coats . . . the House Committee room was filled with the Glory of God! Evidence of His Presence, Jehovah Rapha -The Great Physician, was unmistakable. Three compelling testimonies were provided by highly respected professionals opposed to PAS (Physician Assisted Suicide).
“Right to Die – As introduced, creates a process whereby an adult suffering from a terminal disease may request medication for the purpose of ending the adult’s life in a humane and dignified manner if certain requirements are met. While the vote was right and what we desired, I want to URGE you to listen to the discussions and especially the witnesses who addressed the committee. It was so touching and so true. I can PROMISE it is worth a few minutes of your time.”
