Excerpts from BETROTHED: Committed to Love, Light & LIFE!

…….The next morning, I felt led to meet my friend, Trish, for a walk.  She lives in a beautiful home near my cottage.  Her lawn is perfectly manicured, and it feels somewhat like the Garden of Eden.  On my way to meet her, I called my mother.  It always comforts me to hear her voice.  While still talking with my mother and just before pulling up to Trish’s gate, a text message appeared on my phone from the pastor who led the cell group where Jacob attended after he received Jesus as Lord.  It said,

“Jacob is HOME with Yeshua.”

I began to weep.  My mother encouraged me to go ahead, walk with Trish, and call her back when we finished.  How perfect and personal of God to have orchestrated the exact timing of when, how, and where I would be when I learned this news.  My heavenly father knew that I needed the comfort of my mother’s voice and the presence of this Godly woman, Trish, who was also close to Jacob when they attended the same cell group where he received Yeshua 25 years before.  My heavenly Father knew that the beauty surrounding us on the grounds of her home would give me a glimmer of the Gates of Heaven that Jacob had just entered.  He was literally in the arms of Jesus!

Trish later wrote to Jacob’s intercessors and other members of that cell group about what happened:

“Rachel and I both talked, cried, and prayed all the way around the nearby college campus.  She is strong and was prepared for this–as much as one can be.  Please keep her in your prayers.  Theirs was one of the sweetest love stories I have ever known.  Heaven has just received one of the Lord’s finest and noblest of men.  Surely, Jacob’s legacy of kindness, grace, and mercy will live on.”

Jacob entered Heaven on June 5, 2012 .

BETROTHED: Committed to Love, Light & LIFE!

NOTES:  Pastor Don Finto gave the Eulogy at Jack’s Memorial Service at the Temple in Nashville, Tennessee which was an unprecedented event. God’s Presence filled that place with a brightness of warmth, love and light that has not left since that day. Jack’s son contributed  a beautiful display of many of his father’s paintings which continue to circulate in various parts of the Nashville Community.  Jack painted in the “Spirit” and allowed Jesus, Yeshua, to lead him with every color, stroke and design. Each piece is anointed with vivid colors of joy and the warmth of God’s love and peace.
